ROYAL SOCIETY VISIT
Some of our Year 10 STEM club students visited the Royal Society in London to exhibit their Partnership Grant research in the Young Researcher Zone at their Summer Exhibition. The project originally started in 2018, and this was the culmination of 3 years hard work. During the project students built their own wind turbines and researched to see if one could be built that would charge a mobile phone. Our partner, Professor Fairclough, from Sheffield University allowed us to test our prototypes in their wind tunnel.
Jo Cox, Schools Engagement Manager at the Royal Society said, “Your students were true ambassadors for your school – totally brilliant – mature, enthusiastic and superb communicators.”
